I was looking through Mike's iphone video's and came across this one from Feb '11. I thought it was too cute to not share. Check out Mia and Mike jammin' to some DMB.
Here is a video of Mia and Grant sharing birthday party hats. They were sharing so nicely, until Mia decided she wanted to give her hat to Grant and she wanted Grant to give her his hat. The video stops before it got ugly. Mia loves hanging with Grant.
We have been saying this prayer to Mia every night since she was born. As we hoped, it looks like she has been listening. At the end of the prayer she has been saying "Amen" and clasping her hands for months. Tonight Mia recited the WHOLE prayer with me for the first time. I got so excited, I ran and grabbed the video camera, turned the light on, and had her do it again. It really melts my heart to hear her say this prayer. I pray that this prayer, and many more to come, will guide Mia to find her own love for God and Jesus.
I know it has been forever since I've updated this but I had to show everyone this little video. This is how I found Mia this morning in the bathroom. She has been pretending to sing into the hairbrush microphone for a few weeks now. Today she actually sang! I was dying laughing. Little country music star in the making... And I say country because it fits the outfit she happened to be wearing today. Enjoy!
Mike has been SUPER busy the last few weeks. He has been working 16 hour days and never complained once. Tonight he put Mia to bed or should I say Mia put him to bed... So precious! I love you both more than you can imagine.... xoxo
Nana and Papa came to visit and potentially babysit for Mike's holiday party. Well apparently holiday parties are only for employees here in NYC! Its too expensive to bring a spouse! So we decided to visit the tree instead! We ventured into the city and met Mike at his office. He showed us the "underground" route to Rockefeller Center and the tree. Thankfully because it was freeeeeeeezing out! After seeing the tree, we walked over to SAKs to see the window display. After a nice visit we walked Mike back to his office because he had to go back to work. Poor guy didn't even get to go to the holiday party by himself! We met up with Uncle Ryan at Connolly's Irish Pub for a few drinks and dinner. We had a great time!
Mia and I went to the Hoboken Mom/Babies Holiday Party today. We had a great time visiting with our new friends. Mia met Santa too.... not really a fan! Luckily we didn't have to wait hours in line at the mall to find out she did not like Santa. The other part of the party was fun though!
Mike, Mia, and I traveled to STL this weekend to visit the Wilkerson clan. Mia was finally able to meet Great Grandpa Wilkerson and all of her Great Aunts, Uncles, and first cousins once removed ;) It was an amazing weekend. We got to see Gigi and Great Grandpa's new house. Eat some excellent STL food. Visit with family. Celebrate Olivia's 10th Birthday!! A fun filled weekend. Can't wait to see everyone again in May for Ryan and Hannah's wedding!
