First Mother's Day

What an amazing First Mother's Day!  Yesterday was filled with fun, family, and food!  Mike made a wonderful breakfast for us and the Carpenter's.  We had "Mia pancakes" (a recipe Nana found in the newspaper when Mia was born), scrambled eggs, bacon, and Grandma Moe's fruit/granola bake.  Everything was excellent!

Before breakfast Mia and Elyn were able to enjoy some play time.

Here is a shot of the girls ready for breakfast

Elyn loved the "Mia" pancakes- she ate a whole pancake!
This is for the Wilkerson ladies... Mia was playing with her toy at the table.  The toy fell and this is where it landed.... right on her BIG toe!  Oh boy poor little girl ended up with her Nana's BIG toe :)
We had a great time.  It was so nice to spend our FIRST Mother's Day together!

The rest of the day was spent relaxing, going for a walk, and skyping with the Grandparents.  Emmie treated Mike and I to dinner.  She made her signature chicken piccata, spinach, and wild rice.  It was so yummy!
I'll leave you with a picture of Mia sitting on her own, rocking her sunglasses for the first time.  I completely forgot she had these!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
Thank you Moms for all that you do.  We love you!
